başvuruyla, şehrin mutfak kültüründe önemli bir yere sahip olan Maraş Samsası’nın
coğrafi işaret tescili alındı.
Şehrin yöresel lezzetlerini, geleneksel el sanatlarını ve kültürel değerlerini koruma altına
almak için tescil başvurularını sürdüren Kahramanmaraş Büyükşehir Belediyesi, şehrin
mutfak kültüründe önemli bir yere sahip olan Maraş Samsası’nı da Türk Patent ve Marka
Kurumu’na tescil ettirdi. Büyükşehir Belediyesi, Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler
Meslek Yüksekokulu Gıda İşleme Bölümü ve İl Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü iş birliğiyle
yapılan başvurunun ardından Maraş Samsası, Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu tarafından
yapılan incelemelerin ardından hazırlanan 143 Sayılı Resmi Coğrafi İşaret ve Geleneksel
Ürün Adı Bülteni’nde yayımlanarak şehrin koruma altındaki ürünleri arasında yerini aldı.
Mahalle Tarım ve Hayvancılık Dairesi Başkanlığı’ndan yapılan açıklamada, şehrin yöresel
lezzetleri ve el sanatlarına sahip çıkılarak coğrafi işaret tescilli ürünlerin sayısının artırılacağı
belirtildi.
